Helen serves part-time on our staff team as Senior Leader, alongside her husband Tim. They have three children and have lived in the Watford area since the mid-1990s. Since 1998 Helen has shared the joy and challenges of leading Wellspring Church with a passionate commitment to see our vision become a reality.
Helen serves on the Senior Leadership Team as a Ministry Leader with a focus on supporting and encouraging the Staff and Senior Leadership Team in their ministries and personal development. Helen actively supports the pastoral life of the church offering wisdom, mentoring and signposting for those in seasons of need. An inspiring communicator who loves to help people step into greater freedom as followers of Christ, Helen is often travelling and preaching in other contexts as well as preaching regularly in our Wellspring locations. She has written three 40-day devotionals (published by River) - Be Victorious, Be Fruitful and Be Joyful which are all written to equip the Church to glean daily from powerful Scripture reading. Helen also co-authored (with Tim) No More Friendly Fire, a call to end the gender war in the Church. In March 2020 Helen’s latest book, The Comparison Trap, will be published by SPCK to inspire and help women overcome the challenge of comparison by deepening their relationship with God and discovering the power that comes when women champion women.
Helen also represents Wellspring Church by serving Assemblies of God on our Area Team and is released from church duties to develop a unique charity called Dignify.org which aims to end objectification and inspire a new conversation about pornography and its effects on relationships and society as a whole.
She enjoys time with her family, good books, regular exercise and holidays.
