The Big Walk for Wellness

BW 2

Wellspring Church, in partnership with Everyone Active are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Wellspring Wellness, part of the Extend building project. We have 18 spaces for people to sign up for this fun weekend away.

Rough Itinerary:

· Friday 3rd July: We will meet at London Luton Airport at 17:00 (recommended) and take a 19:00 flight to Inverness. Upon touchdown, you will be picked up from the airport and transported to our plush hostel for an overnight stay.

· Saturday 4th July: After a lazy start to the day, we will take a short drive to Ben Nevis and start ascending in the afternoon. Upon completing Ben Nevis, we will drive through the night to the foot of Scafell Pike in the Lake District.

· Sunday 5th July: We will start climbing Scafell Pike in the early hours of the day. After a successful assent and decent, we will drive to Snowdon in Wales. After completing Snowdon (hopefully in under 24 hours) we will drive back to Watford and arrive at the Wellspring Church Centre for approximately 22:00.

Fitness Requirement:

A high level of fitness is required to complete this challenge. Each participant will receive a three month membership package for everyone active which includes classes, use of the gym, sauna and swimming pool facilities. There will also be a programme of endurance walks to aid in your training. Please seek advice from your GP before you embark on any training for this event. Please speak to Richard Davidson or Jonathan Sampson for further details about fitness expectations.

Under 18's must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Sponsorship Requirement:

Each delegate is required to raise a minimum of £250 for Wellspring Wellness. These funds will be used to support people suffering from common mental health problems in Watford in the provision of services and a purpose built facility.
